This spring we are happy to have some of your favorites back - Arya Diamond returns, just like our Himalayan White, with a cup full of spring magic! Diamond, from the boutique and certified organic Arya tea estate, this year has a more "greenish" character compared to the 2017 crop which we last had. In the cup it means it is more typical of a traditional Darjeeling first flush - light and bright. But the proven skills Arya's tea makers takes this tea beyond typical, infusing it with layers of very satisfying complexity.
DRY LEAF: Gorgeous long wiry leaves of AV2 cultivar (an Assam-Darjeeling clonal), full of tips or buds, light green and gray with sweet floral and grassy notes.
INFUSED LEAF: Unfurls to olive green with aroma of peach and freshly cut grass.
CUP: Notes of peach, citrus and spring honey rise from the pale amber infusion with delicate fruity-floral flavors on the palate. The finish is clean and sublime.
