The Ultimate Men's Sustainable Fashion Guide for Spring 2020

Having just written the Ultimate Women’s Sustainable Fashion Guide for the season, I prepared for a tone shift as I sat down to write the men’s guide to sustainable clothing brands this spring. Wondering about shopping motivations in men compared to women, I asked my husband, “When the seasons change, you don’t start getting a sudden urge to buy new clothes, do you?” “No…” he hesitated. “Well, actually, yeah, I sort of do.”

Maybe we’re not so different.

Whether you’ve got the spring shopping urge or you’re just buying new basics out of necessity, DoneGood isn’t out to convince you to buy a whole new seasonal wardrobe! But if you need to update a few of the staples in your closet, we’ve got you covered with suggestions for comfortable, colorful, built-to-last, and ethically-made styles you’ll love for many warm-weather seasons to come.

Pistol Lake

The founders of Pistol Lake used to be tech guys, and that definitely shows in their clothing designs. They’re constantly innovating ways to make their products even more sustainable for the planet and useful for their customers.

Pistol Lake has done that this spring by introducing the one bag polo—it’s moisture-wicking, quick-drying, anti-microbial, anti-wrinkle, and odor-resistant. What?! How is that even possible? (I don’t know, they’re the tech guys…)

But don’t be so blown away by the one bag polo that you forget to check out Pistol Lake’s other impressive products—shirts, joggers, shorts, and boxers—built to last and featuring some new seasonal colors.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t offer some changeup for the seasons! This year, Taylor Stitch has taken their most well-loved styles, like the Jack Oxford shirt, and added a few pops of color for spring. Same classic shirt, durable construction, and great fit, but with a fun new look.

With the assurance of great quality, and high labor and environmental standards, Taylor Stitch is the perfect place to find some new pieces for your workday wardrobe.
