This lovely eco-friendly tray is made with natural banana fibers. These handcrafted trays or baskets work equally well as storage and decoration throughout your home.
Products are handmade and each piece is unique therefore any slight imperfection is an individual expression of that artisan’s “perfect” handy work.

Story
The banana fiber products literally come from nature. Handmade by local women in South India to provide better income opportunities, while also respecting the region's natural ecology. The fiber used for crocheting this product is locally available and it's made out of the "dead" leaves of the banana trees. These leaves, previously considered waste, are now getting a new life in contemporary and sustainable design innovation.
The banana leaves are spliced by hand to extract fiber strips followed by twining to make different thickness ropes which are then hand crocheted and woven to make these eco-friendly storage baskets.
Care
Gently hand washes with a soft brush or sponge. While still damp, shape the product back to its original form. Air dry.
