Description From INDIGENOUS

This handcrafted, open-ended brass ring adds a little bit of edge thanks to its structured, architectural profile. The dramatic asymmetrical shape is unexpected and works exceptionally well when worn solo as the star piece on your hand. Best of all? It’s ethically made by local artisans in Kenya from recycled materials.

Highlights:

  • SOKO ethical jewelry
  • Recycled brass
  • 24mm width band
  • Handcrafted in Kenya using heritage artisan techniques
  • Each piece is unique with slight deviations, yet held to a high standard of quality
  • The open format gives this ring a somewhat adjustable fit
  • Arrives in a cloth bag handmade by a women's collective in Nairobi

Editor's Notes:

We love how this ring is bold without trying. The sculptural silhouette reminds us of modern architecture and afternoons at the museum.

Care:

Remove jewelry before participating in physical activity or going to bed. Store your jewelry in a cloth bag (included) away from natural sunlight and heat. Avoid contact with moisture including water, lotion, and perfume.

HOW TO CLEAN: Use a gentle metal polisher and a soft cloth to remove tarnish and restore luster. To clean using ingredients you may already have at home, mix lemon juice and baking soda into a paste, rub onto the surface with a cloth, then rinse off and buff dry to a shine.

About INDIGENOUS

Peru has the longest recorded history of textile design in the whole world. So INDIGENOUS is all about keeping those traditions from Peru alive, while providing a path out of poverty to the artisans who live there. They've now led the way in ethical apparel for over 20 years with styles that are fair trade as well as 100% organic. INDIGENOUS is doing good all over Peru now. They empower their 750+ workers by paying fair wages, give back to the community through clean drinking water, and offer training and zero interest loans to female entrepreneurs. They're also passionate about conserving natural resources—their clothes save over 12 million gallons of water annually and keep over 6,000 ounces of deadly pesticides off the land. Pair that with high-quality staples that still have a unique flair, and you'll see why customers love INDIGENOUS!
