This upcycled Guatemalan Huipil purse with its unique colorful design is perfect for a cosmetic bag, a pencil case, a purse or as a travel organiser. Handwoven in Guatemala by our women of the Trama Textiles weaving cooperative, this pouch is a more contemporary spin on an ancient art. It is traditionally made by backstrap loom weaving, ensuring that you are receiving an incredibly durable and well made product. The flowers are the native flowers of Guatemala: roses, lilies, violas, pansies, gladioli and cactus flowers. All of these flowers bloom abundantly throughout the year. They stand as symbols of life and fertility.
An upcycled product: it's made from recycled Guatemalan huipiles from our weavers in San Martin (Guatemala). Because this pouch is a unique handmade product, it may vary slightly from the model shown on the photo.
