A Day Without A Woman

It all started when...

This week, in honor of International Women's Day and A Day Without A Women, we're making it even easier to find amazing mission-driven, women-owned businesses.

People across the U.S. are participating in "A Day Without A Woman" to stand together for equity, justice, and the human rights of women everywhere! Anyone can join in by:

  • Taking the day off work (from both paid and unpaid labor)
  • Avoiding shopping for the day—with exceptions for small, women- and minority-owned businesses
  • Wearing red to show solidarity

Action like this is directly in line with DoneGood’s mission. We believe consumer purchasing power can be the world's most powerful force for social change. It's a power that can be used to fight injustice and to stand up for things we believe in.

So to help support the cause, we created special features on our Chrome extension and app so you can easily find businesses led by amazing women. And of course like all DoneGood-approved businesses, they’re all doing good for people and the planet.

How it Works

Install the free DoneGood extension or app.  Then:

Click the DoneGood icon (the little orange checkmark) in your browser's toolbar to see a list of all DoneGood-approved businesses where women own 50% or of the company.

See a special alert in your Google search results when a woman-owned alternative is available.

Scroll through all women-owned DoneGood-approved businesses in the 'What's Good' section of the DoneGood app. Or filter your product search to find businesses run by women that have exaclty what you're looking for.
