For My Sister:

Handmade in Ethiopia by skilled artisans, this bag by Purse & Clutch was an easy gift for my sister because it’s so functional. It comes with a detachable long strap that transforms it from a clutch to a crossbody to a shoulder bag, so she can wear it however she wants. It’s made from ethically sourced leather and antique brass too – so it’ll last her years without falling apart. 

Rib Knit Cardigan in Hickory | Wildflo Studio | $54

My sister lives in DC – so the weather there can get pretty chilly. This year I wanted to give her a cardigan that is cute, but also functional and fashionable so she can wear it to work. This cardigan by Wildflo Studio features mother of pearl buttons and is 95% organic cotton (which means it won’t be itchy!) Plus, I know she will love that it was made by a woman-owned business in small batches. I might also grab her the matching cami, too!

For My Boyfriend:

Poseidon Polo | Vusta | $66

My partner works in an office AND golfs, so he goes through polo shirts like crazy. I loved the deep blue color of this one, and the fact that it is 100% certified organic cotton. It is the perfect smart-casual polo that can be worn to any occasion. Plus, 25% of my purchase goes back to non-profits like Feeding America and Charity: Water! I love supporting brands like Vustra that give back to great causes.

 

For My Mom:

Snow Ultra Plush Alpaca Scarf | Slate + Salt | $84

My mom loves winter weather, and all things cozy, so why not give her the fluffiest scarf she’ll ever own? This oversized scarf by Slate + Salt is super lightweight but retains warmth thanks to sustainably sourced alpaca fibers from artisanal farmers in the Peruvian highlands. Alpaca is considered to be one of the greenest, most natural, and softest fibers in the world… and it doesn’t pill. This looks so comfortable I might have to get one for myself, too! 

Small Calla Hoops | Astor & Orion | $81

A gold hoop is a wardrobe workhorse. They can be paired with any outfit and go to any event. And these hoops by Astor + Orion have some really cool hand-sculpted gold embellishments that I know my mom will love. Each pair is played with a heavy 18k gold finish, so they won’t tarnish easily – but still stay super lightweight. They also come in silver, too!

Honorable Mentions:

Ok, as someone who works on DoneGood, I’ve found a ton of favorite products. These might be a gift for someone in your life, or simply a wonderful find for your own home! I hope you love them as much as I do.

Maria Heart Ornament | Vi Bella | $20

These ornaments are weaved by hand with a traditional Haitian beading technique that takes hours to complete, completed by fairly paid artisans employed by Vi Bella. I think the metallic elements are great for adding a pop of color onto your Christmas tree, and I love the cute heart shape! These will be the newest addition to my sustainable holiday decor this year. 

Ear Style Cat Cave | Fuzzy Cove | $88

I have 3 cats, so if you’re also a crazy cat lover – keep reading. Fuzzy Cove has so many good cat caves it was hard to choose one, but this ear style cave is one of my favorites. It’s made from organic felted merino wool and features a peekaboo design that your pets will love. It comes in small and large sizes to meet the needs of your cat! 

Signature Sateen Sheet Set | Ettitude | $240

Ettitude is the only brand of sheets I’ve had for the last 8 years… I keep rebuying them. One set lasts you a long time, thanks to durable yet breathable bamboo fabric. The sheets are super silky soft, and I love that they’re more sustainable than traditional cotton sheets, too. Yes, this is more of an investment. But I haven’t found any sheets that compare to bamboo ones! A must-have for any sustainable home.
