Most traditional chocolate brands have 3-5 middlemen in the process between cocoa farmers and chocolate makers. Beyond Good thinks that's crazy. Their chocolate goes from farmer, to chocolate maker, to you, and they think that makes for all around better chocolate. It's not all about good chocolate though—it's also about doing good. Beyond Good works directly with over a hundred cocoa farmers in Madagascar and Uganda. They help them grow premium cocoa and then they pay them big bucks for it—we're talking beyond-fair-trade big bucks! They're even using sustainable harvesting and agroforestry to help conserve wildlife in Madagascar. Not to belabor the point, but all this intentionality adds up to chocolate that is...well...beyond good.
